Chris Bonser, Director of Software Development
Mr. Bonser joined the Wilmington team in 1994 as an Electrical Engineer with an emphasis in electronic communications and computer
engineering. Since his addition to the team, he has focused on system software development and as a result of a background solidly rooted in system engineering; he is a software designer of
major accomplishment.
There is not a development program that this team has undertaken where Chris has not been, in some aspect, a key resource involved in its
completion.
His accomplishments include the design and implementation of real-time software for a wide variety of videoconferencing solutions, both PC
based and embedded, for use over ISDN, PSTN, IP, and RF networks utilizing a variety of protocols and standards. His knowledge of these spaces is extensive and a result of direct design
experience in creating solutions and software for the visual communications industries.
Of special distinction, Chris has been a key resource responsible for the design and evolution of a variety of multimedia applications where
various communication standards and protocols are used and has archetected and implemented a wide array of software protocol stacks including TCP/IP, H.323, SIP and Packet Cable NCS
implementations.
He holds a B.S.E.E and B.S.C.S. from North Carolina State University (1994)
