Stuart E. Ross, CEO

Prior to returning to New Potato in 2006, Mr. Ross served as Chief Executive Officer for SCOTTY Technology of the Americas, Inc., a SCOTTY Group plc company (SCO.L) from 2004 through 2006.  SCOTTY Group plc is founded as a result of a merger between Motion Media plc (MMD.L) and SCOTTY Tele-Transport Corporation in 2004 and Mr. Ross served as the Chief Technology Officer for Motion Media Technology, Inc. from 2001 through 2004. 

Prior to joining Motion Media, he served as Vice President of Engineering , and Director for C-Phone Corporation (NASDAQ:CFON) from 1994 through 2001.  Mr. Ross arrived in Wilmington, NC in 1994 as a founder of C-Phone and established an engineering group to develop and launch a myriad of video conferencing products.  In this role he led the technology development and product design efforts for C-Phone until the acquisition of the group by Motion Media Technology plc  (MMD.L) in 2001 in their quest for establishing a firm U.S. presence in the global visual communications market.  As Chief Technology Officer for Motion Media in concert with the same design team, they continued to develop and launch numerous communications products for broadband, security, and Telehealth markets.

Mr. Ross joined C-Phone from New Potato Technologies, Inc., an engineering consulting and creative design firm he founded in 1986 in Danbury, CT to specialize in electronic media, software design, consumer electronics and communications systems.

Between 1984 and 1986 he was the Manager of Research and Development at GridComm Inc. (NASDAQ:GRID) and previously was employed by CBS Inc. at the CBS Technology Center in Stamford, CT and as a video game designer for CBS Video Games in Greenwich, CT. 

He holds a B.S.E.E with High Distinction from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (1981.)
